Transfers
Private transfers to and from Poreč — Pula Airport, the Euphrasian Basilica and the Istrian coast. Fixed prices, licensed drivers, door-to-resort.
Poreč is one of Istria's biggest holiday bases, with large resort complexes spread along the coast either side of the old town — and that is precisely where buses fall short, dropping you near the centre rather than at a resort reception a few kilometres away. After a flight into Pula, or Trieste, or Ljubljana, the last thing you want is to arrive at the wrong end of a sprawling resort area with your cases. The simplest arrival is a pre-booked private transfer: a driver waiting for you and a fixed price agreed before you travel, all the way to the right reception.
That door-to-resort precision is the heart of the matter in Poreč, because so much of its accommodation sits outside the old town in self-contained complexes. A reserved vehicle does not just get you to the right town — it gets you to the right building, which a general bus service simply cannot promise.
Pula Airport is the nearest, a clear run down the Istrian coast, and we drive you straight to your hotel, apartment or resort — including the large complexes at Plava and Zelena Laguna a little outside the old town. The driver meets you with a name sign, helps with the luggage and tracks your flight, so an early or late landing simply shifts the pickup rather than leaving you stranded.
For guests arriving from the north we also transfer from Trieste and Ljubljana, both within comfortable driving distance and a common choice when the flights suit better. From Poreč we link the other Istrian resorts too — Rovinj, Vrsar, Novigrad and Umag — so a stay here can reach up and down the west coast without a hire car. The fare is agreed up front and paid by card, with the cancellation policy shown before you confirm.
Poreč is a historic resort town on Istria's west coast, built on a compact peninsula that still follows its old Roman street grid of straight intersecting lanes. Its centrepiece is the Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its glittering 6th-century mosaics, which survives at the heart of the old town as one of the finest early Christian monuments anywhere on the Adriatic.
Around that ancient core, Poreč has grown into one of the peninsula's most popular family destinations. A long marina lines the waterfront, and a series of large resort settlements stretch along the coast to either side, set among pine and beside the sea. The combination of a genuinely historic old town and extensive, well-organised resort accommodation is what draws so many visitors, and its position on the west coast makes it a comfortable base for exploring the rest of the Istrian shoreline and the hill towns inland.
