Živogošće

Živogošće is a string of small beach settlements along the Makarska Riviera, set between the clear Adriatic and the towering slopes of Biokovo behind. It is a peaceful spot to unwind, but the journey there can test the patience, as flights arrive well to the north and the coastal buses keep to the main road and seasonal timetables rather than turning off to your apartment or campsite by the sea. The gateway for Živogošće is Split Airport, with the drive heading south along the coast past Makarska and beneath the wall of Biokovo.
